ENN vs. Silicon

This is a website I think is very useful for Irish business news & I never heard of it until I went digging on-line. I was surprised it isn’t more widely publisized (www.enn.ie). It markets itself as “Ireland’s IT Newswire” & I assume this puts it in competition with sites such as Silicon Republic (http://www.siliconrepublic.com/). Although Silicon Republic is the better known, ENN also seems to have a handle on IT news here. Silicon Republic would be my first choice for Irish IT news on-line & it does seem to have a more ‘modern’ feel to the website. ENN feels a little outdated. You can subscribe to both wesites & recieve e-mail up-dates, but Silicon Republic has the advantage of offering a “Tell us what you think!” section. Of course, the major difference is the fact that Silicon Republic offers analysis, whereas ENN seems to be more of a website that publishes press releases. It is always nice to have an alternative………
